Terms

What you are buying, from whom, and on what conditions.

Who you are contracting with

The free browser version of Powerstate is provided by the operator named in the imprint. The supporter unlock is sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record and is therefore your contractual partner for the purchase itself, including payment, invoicing and VAT. Paddle’s own terms govern that transaction. The licence to use the software is granted by us, on the terms below.

The free version

The browser version is free to play and provided as it stands. No warranty is given that it is uninterrupted or error-free, and it may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Nothing in this paragraph limits liability for injury to life, body or health, or for intent or gross negligence.

What a purchase grants

The supporter unlock is a one-off payment of VITE_PRICE. Buying it grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to unlock and use the supporter features of the game (sandbox mode, the scenario editor and the forking of worlds) on devices you control, for private, non-commercial use. The supporter code you receive is your licence key.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the software or your supporter code;
  • publish the supporter code, or share it beyond your own household;
  • remove or circumvent licensing or attribution;
  • claim the work as your own.

Recording and streaming your play, including monetised video, is expressly permitted and needs no separate permission.

How many devices

A code activates on up to three devices at once. Activation happens once, over the network; after that the copy runs without a connection and is not checked again at startup. A fourth device is refused. The code itself keeps working, and the three machines already using it are unaffected.

Slots are yours to move. Reinstalling, replacing a machine or wiping a drive should not cost you one: any activated copy can hand its slot back from About → Licence, and it becomes available immediately. If you lose access to a device before releasing it, write to info@powerstate-game.com and the slot will be freed for you.

The limit exists to stop one key being published and used by strangers, not to count your hardware. We do not read anything about your machine to enforce it: a device is identified by a random number the game makes up on first activation, which describes nothing about you and is not connected to any record of how the game is played.

Delivery

Delivery is electronic and immediate: the supporter code is issued automatically on payment and emailed from code@powerstate-game.com to the address you bought with, and the page the checkout returns you to shows it as well. There is no physical shipment. If a code does not arrive, write to info@powerstate-game.com and it will be reissued.

Availability and changes

The software is delivered as it exists at the time of purchase. Updates may be provided but are not promised. Where an online component is needed to activate a licence, we will not withdraw it in a way that leaves a purchased copy unusable without offering a means to keep playing.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation (one whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible and on whose observance you may routinely rely), and then only up to the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract. Liability under the Produkthaftungsgesetz is unaffected. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not limited by these terms.

Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
